Life Insurance
Grameen Koota has covered all the borrowers with life insurance in collaboration with ING Vysya Life Insurance Company Pvt Ltd. The claim arises in the event of the death of the client. The coverageincludes the disbursed amount and Rs 2,000 for funeral expenses.
Health Insurance
Sampoorna Suraksha is a health insurance scheme offered to members in partnership with Shree Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project (SKDRDP), an NGO and ICICI Lombord. It is a customized family health insurance scheme covering hospitalisation and other expenses. Sampoorna Suraksha is offered to members and their families at the premium amount of Rs.200/- per annum for the primary member and Rs. 150/- for each family member thereafter.
Cattle Insurance
The scheme is offered in collaboration with United India Insurance Company as an option to members who purchased cattle through Grameen Koota’s income generating loans. In the event of death of the cattle, the members can claim the sum assured as per the value of the cattle decided after the post mortem report of a veterinary doctor. The premium for this insurance has to be paid at 6 - 7 per cent of the sum assured per annum.
