Director : Ms. Vinatha M Reddy
BA. AMI (Diploma)
Ms. Reddy has been in the development field since 1995. She is
a trained Montessori teacher and ran a school for rural and
semi-urban children called “Gurukul”
Since 1996, Ms. Reddy has been focused on microcredit, studying
the Grameen Bank model. Additionally, she has also studied ASA
(Activists for Social Alternatives) and SHARE (Society for
Helping Awakening Rural Poor through Education), the two leading
Grameen replicators in India. In 1998, she attended the Grameen
International Dialogue Program in Dhaka, a two-week immersion
training course on Grameen methodology. Thereafter, she
submitted to the Grameen Trust a pilot-phase project proposal,
which was immediately accepted for seed capital funding. . She
has guided Grameen Koota through a successful pilot growth phase
and is now looking at strategies to expand its outreach beyond
Karnataka. She has attended the Microcredit Summit Conferences
in New York City, Delhi, and Dhaka.

Managing Director : Mr. Suresh K. K.
Diploma in Computer Applications; M.A., Sociology
Mr. Suresh Krishna has a background in teaching and entered the
field of development in 1997.
He has been with Grameen Koota since day one and has studied and
observed the nuances of microcredit at various microfinance
institutions like SKS, SHARE, ASA and CFTS . Undertook Grameen
Basics training at Grameen Bank, Dhaka. He has attended numerous
training programs and workshops on microfinance and management
conducted by various national and international institutions. He
has also been trained at Bankakademie – Germany on Microfinance
Management and at Harvard Business School, Boston on Strategic
Leadership. He has participated in various national and
international conferences on microfinance as panelist.
He has guided Grameen Koota through a very successful growth
phase and now working on strategies to expand its outreach
beyond Karnataka. He was instrumental in transforming Grameen
Koota from NGO to an NBFC.
As Managing Director, Mr.Suresh Krishna continues to head
Grameen Koota with the commitment to make Grameen Koota a
successful financially sustainable institution.

Director: Mrs. Daksha Niranjan Shah
B.A., M.B.A (IIMA)
Mrs. Shah has been in the field of development since 1998. Prior
to this she worked as Production and Finance Manager in a cotton
textile mill in Ahmedabad and Managing Director in an
Intermediate Dye manufacturing unit.
She has attended various workshops and seminars on microcredit
including a training conducted in Mauritius on Delinquency
Management, as a representative of FWWB
at Women’s World Banking in New York, a microfinance course
conducted by Economic Institute at Colorado, USA and workshops
of NABARD and SIDBI from time to time.
Mrs. Shah is a very resourceful person and her development
knowledge has created an edge for her in evaluating microfinance
organizations and putting them on a growth scale. Her
contribution has helped us form a strong foundation and
delivering the right solutions to the most needed people.

Director: Dr. Manjunath L H
BVSC, MVSC.
Dr. Manjunath is a qualified Veterinary Doctor. He has been in
this field of Banking & Development since 1978. He has completed
his MVSC in Barielly in the year 1977 and he has obtained
fellowships under ICAR. In his 27 years of experience he handled
various functions such as banking, managing a veterinary
hospital, credit appraisal designing, organizing,
implementations, etc.
Currently Dr. Manjunath is the Executive Director of SKDRDP,
which is the largest MFI from Karnataka. Prior to this he has
worked with Syndicate Bank from 1980 to 2001. Additionally he
has worked as a Veterinary Surgeon, Kuknur Raichur, and he was
in charge of Veterinary hospital for Dept. of Animal husbandry &
Veterinary A member of boards and committees, including Academic
Advisory Committee, NABARD in Mangalore, Executive Committee
member of CAPART, Dairy Technology Mission, he has been
regularly invited by the All India Radio to deliver talks
related to topics of dairying, micro credit, rural development,
etc
He brings with him a deep understanding of the poor and their
needs.

Sriram Iyer
BE (Structural Engg.) 1992, MBA (Finance) 1994
Mr. Iyer has had thirteen years of work experience in the
Banking and Financial services industry, held various leadership
positions in Sales and Business development across multiple
geographies. He has had experience in managing large teams of
people across diverse functions including sales, underwriting,
service and operations. He has been instrumental in turning
around businesses and by taking the businesses to new heights,
at the same time maintaining the quality of the portfolio and
cost under tight control.
He is an avid and voracious reader with particular interest in
books with historical overtones. He has also delivered lectures
at Management Institutes on contemporary issues in management.
He brings a deep understanding of retail banking and sales
finance to the table.

Ms. Bharati Jacob
Bharati Jacob has over 20 years of operating experience in
diverse areas such as marketing research, financial planning and
analysis and investment banking and venture capital. Presently,
she is the managing partner of Seedfund, India’s only, dedicated
early-stage investment fund.
Bharati graduated from the Wharton School of the University of
Pennsylvania in 1991, majoring in marketing and finance.
Post-graduation, she spent a summer at Vilnius, Lithuania, in
1991, teaching a group of young entrepreneurs the principles of
marketing. This was one of the first experiments by US
universities in transferring knowledge to the newly
“liberalized” economies in former USSR. Thereafter, she joined
Northwest Airlines as part of the financial planning and
analysis group, working on several key projects for the board
and management council including evaluating bankruptcy
operations.
Bharati is a charter member of TiE and an active member of the
TiE Womens Chapter.
